Dr. Kao received her undergraduate education at the University of California Los Angeles, and attended medical school at the New York University School of Medicine. Her Internal Medicine residency was completed at the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania and she received advanced fellowship training in Cardiology at the University of California San Francisco. Dr. Kao joined Cardiology Associates of Marin and San Francisco and the Attending Physician Staff of Marin General Hospital in 1991. She is an active member of a number of professional organizations and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Marin General Hospital. Dr. Kao is an author on a number of scientific publications.
