David C. Sperling, MD, FACC
Dr. David Sperling was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He graduated magna cum laude from Washington and Jefferson College and received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve School of Medicine. He trained in Internal Medicine at Cleveland Metropolitan General Hospital and in Cardiology at the United States Public Health Service Hospital in San Francisco. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease, and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
Dr. Sperling has served as Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Marin General Hospital,Senior Consultant at the San Francisco Heart Institute, and was previously a Clinical Instructor in Cardiology at the University of California at San Francisco.
He has been selected numerous times as an outstanding cardiologist by the San Francisco Magazine Consumer Checkbook as well as by Best Doctors in America.
Dr. Sperling has been instrumental in the development of the cardiac catheterization lab and cardiac surgical programs at Marin General Hospital. He has been honored for his leadership in fundraising for support of these programs as well as for the electrophysiology laboratory.
He is married and has two children
