Margaret L. Baer, MD, FACC
Dr. Baer joined Cardiovascular Associates of Marin and San Francisco in 2001, and has been in the private practice of cardiology since 1996. She is a graduate of Yale University and Harvard Medical School and trained at Massachusetts General Hospital and UCSF. She is committed to continually learning and has re-certified in both cardiology and internal medicine.
Dr. Baer distinguishes herself as a good listener and a caring physician. She recognizes that every patient is a unique person, and adapts to meet their needs and expectations. Answering their questions and providing explanations and education are tantamount to her.
Dr. Baer practices the full gamut of general and invasive cardiology, but has some areas of expertise. She has additional certification in echocardiography, including Transesophageal Echocardiography and a license to interpret nuclear stress tests. She performs pacemaker surgeries and also oversees the outpatient pacemaker clinic. She has a special interest in taking care of women with heart disease and careful management of congestive heart failure patients.
She has 2 sons, a tweener and a teenager, that keep her busy when she is not working. You might see her on the bike path riding to and from work.
