Exercise Stress Echo Test
The exercise stress echo test involves exercising on a treadmill or stationery bicycle while you are closely monitored.  Ultrasound pictures of your heart will be taken before and after exercise to determine if you have significant blockages in your heart arteries and other important information.

Dobutamine Stress Echo Test
The dobutamine stress echo test involves taking a medication called dobutamine while you are closely monitored.  The medication stimulates your heart and is a useful alternative for patients who cannot exercise or use the treadmill. Ultrasound pictures of your heart will be taken before and after the medication is administered to determine if you have significant blockages your heart arteries and other important information.
